Hello, everyone! How’s 2014 treating you so far? I apologize for a bit of a hiatus in my blog during this holiday break.
Fast forward to today: going back to work after 2.5 weeks of bliss was a bit of a shock on my system. I had to drag myself out of bed this morning. After some struggle, I finally managed to review the great photos we took during this break and use some of them as materials for my first blog of 2014.
One of the many amazing things we did during this time was visit the beautiful Yosemite National Park. I’ve seen this natural beauty through all four seasons but last December was the first time we actually stayed overnight. The rental property owned by Scenic Wonders in Yosemite West Village was perfect. We were able to enjoy our sumptuous home-cooked meals, sit by the fireplace and use the property as base for exploring Yosemite. One of the best things about it is the fact that it’s not crowded at all. Summer is a different experience altogether. It’s completely overrun by tourists from all over the world and the country.
I have to admit that I fell in love with winter after our amazing experience there. I was afraid I would hate the cold weather (being a Californian and all, 32 degrees is “freezing” for me) but with the proper winter gear and all, it was actually quite a marvelous experience.
Oh, in case you’re curious, the title of this blog is a nod to this beautiful hat (see picture above) I found online. It’s pretty and it’s perfect for winter! Now if I could only wear this in San Francisco without looking like a fool! Looks like a trip to Moscow is in the making 😀
Have a great weekend. More to come later…
